Our History
 A few years ago, when my hometown was a little smaller than it is now, there were no venues that would provide me with a nice meal and great entertainment for the evening. I decided I would try Vancouver, a much bigger city, to go to a dinner show or two. By the time I had figured out all my expenses, travel, ferry costs from Vancouver Island where I live, meals, hotel, not to mention the likelihood of securing a ticket for a show, I was discouraged. So, out of my strong desire to have somewhere to go for an evening other than the local watering hole, the " Funny-Bone Bar and Stage" was born, and became an addition to "The Chuffin Cafe" restaurant which I had already nurtured to fruition. Now I would put on my own dinner shows, and hire whatever artists I fancied!
Although I had a lot more work, it didn’t matter; it became my passion and I loved it! I had the privilege of meeting many wonderful people, both in the performers as well as all the happy faces in the audience. The shows became a real success and the public loved them as much as I loved putting them on! What more could I ask for? Well.. let me tell you ... after a few years, the Funny Bone Bar and Stage which was able to hold roughly 80 people for my dinner shows became too small. Due to the ever increasing demand for more seating, I closed the "Funny-Bone" and continued to host dinner shows in larger venues.
Over the past 6 year I have had many shows for tribute artists, musicians, dancers, comedians, magicians, as well as talent competitions. I am truly grateful for each and every one of these people sharing their talents, their lives and stories with me, creating memories that I will cherish always.
I will continue to co-ordinate dinner shows as long as there are venues, talented artists, and an audience who enjoys them as much as I do!
